Real life gets in the way

Fully intended to post more drawing(s) today... but between chores and distractions, I didn't. I got an interesting couple of ideas, which I'll explore tomorrow.

Binge watched Jessica Jones with my boyfriend this past Thanksgiving break. It was well done and most certainly a refreshing perspective. There were an unheard number of strong female characters. Hopefully this is a new direction entertainment is going towards.

At any rate, I fully plan to post more art tomorrow!

Trying to get back on the saddle

It's been a very long time since I've updated this. I've been stagnating and uninspired. I've been struggling with my sense of self worth and questioning my abilities. But I made a couple of things and it made me so happy... I had forgotten that feeling.

1. Sumo hamster - the world needed one

2. Throw it back - because creepy line art.

So I made a little something, fan art of a sort.... Made one of my good friends into a Naruto character, of which she's a fan. Comments/crits welcome!

Che Smash?

Little animation I made, for the sake of procrastinating... at least that's what it seems to me. There certainly are many things I should be doing. >_<;;; oi. Its supposed to be my friend Che literally smashing a bug, that she figuratively battled at work. She's a computer coder and there was a system bug. I am certainly not as funny as I think, but I had fun doing it. First animated .gif I've made... kinda confusing. Handy tool tho.

I'll post the preview at a later date... but for now here's a frame of the animation I'm going to SIGGRAPH for... (this is one of my frames w/o back ground, props or effects applied, so... not finished at all)

It is rotoscoped and traditionally animated. The hand made/hard media look is on purpose. I'm rather proud to be part of this project. =]

So very many boo boos...

Battle of the wills. I lost.

I had to give my cat some medicine to make sure it makes her sleepy before I try to use it for the flight to Seattle. Lets just say it just made her angry.
