For a friend

Quick drawing made on commission for a friend. Graphite powder and charcoal in a pleasant evening.

Had forgotten how much I enjoy traditional media. Really should draw more and be more confident.

At any rate, its a gift for her hubby's birthday. He's not taking the passing of his friend very well and she wanted to give him a memento. =] So glad I could be of help.

Latest thing I've done. I'm currently working as a temp agent for an office company. It pays alright and it allows me free time to work on animation after I get done. Been using this time to prepare for my move to Seattle. Currently, I'm working at the Medical Records dept in an orthopedic office, and it was my co-worker's birthday recently, so I made him a desk buddy. Must say, I love making things for people... and this little guy was well received. =D

Food Bender

My friend Summer Schott of sugarandspicepastries.com is a pastry chef. Well, as a matter of fact there's nothing she can't cook magnificently well. At some point she mentioned that she loved Avatar: The Last Airbender and that if anything she considered herself a food bender. This of course translated literally in my head.

The fact Summer is very motherly brought Katara directly to mind, and this is how I'm convinced Summer puts icing on cakes.

Playing with a new drawing program

Playing with a new drawing program.... I think I love it! This is my friend Cherries' dog Caska. The title should be "I don't need legs, my mommy will carry me."

The program is SAI and I had a lot of fun with it. I think I'll keep using it regularly.

I make things sometimes, to make myself happy.

When I make things, generally I give them away... I was going for cute with this guy... I was afraid he was creepier than cute, but I think cute won!
