Playing with a new drawing program

Playing with a new drawing program.... I think I love it! This is my friend Cherries' dog Caska. The title should be "I don't need legs, my mommy will carry me."

The program is SAI and I had a lot of fun with it. I think I'll keep using it regularly.

I make things sometimes, to make myself happy.

When I make things, generally I give them away... I was going for cute with this guy... I was afraid he was creepier than cute, but I think cute won!

Progress on thesis

The main character in my thesis is supposed to be a young boy from central or south America, although his nationality is less important than his experiences. I have planned that his general look, instead of looking like a particular child, should be more generic. So I've opted to make him look stylized, more like a painted toy than anything else.

I will add on the other characters as I get them done, and I will add screen shots of his texture, color and effects.

This piece was made in an attempt to make a close up representation of 3 emotions. The character goes through, or I tried to make the character go through: Romantic interest, surprise and anger. Critiques welcome.

First animation of a rigged character on Computer Animation III

This is my first animation on a properly rigged character. Was very concerned with it initially, but had a lot more fun than I expected. The left leg over extends and pops on the full stretch and the left arm hiccups toward the end. These are things I will correct in due time. Otherwise, I am pretty with the result, and think that this is a direction I want to pursue. =D
